Rothenburg Butter Silos are typically used as a buffer and butter distribution vessel between the churn and the packing machines.
The Volume depends on the capacity of the churn and packing equipment. This should be a minimum of 35% and preferably 50% of the capacity of the churn.
The output is variable and can be adjusted by VFD. This output is according to the required feeding of the downstream packing machines.
Each auger has a gearhead drive motor. A single VFD controls the speed of the two drive motors.
The drive units are wash-down duty and further protected from direct splash water by a stainless steel cover.
Rothenburg Butter Silos are equipped with a very effective pressure tunnel which ensures proper feeding of the connected pumps.
Large-diameter augers running at slow speeds ensure a gentle treatment of the butter.
Up to five transfer pumps with different capacities can be connected to the pressure tunnel outlets.
Rothenburg Butter Silos are designed for CIP cleaning and come equipped with sprayballs in the silo body, as well as in the pressure tunnel.
The standard material is 304SS. For salted butter, we recommend 316. Welding seams are passivated and ground, the outside finish is glass beaded, and the inside surfaces are shot-blasted to minimize the sticking of the butter.
The standard delivery range is from 1 Ton to 10 Tons.
